My guest on today’s podcast is Stacey Brown Randall. Stacey is an author and business coach who teaches relationship-driven small business owners how to generate referrals without asking.

After Stacey’s first consulting business failed before she reached the five-year mark, she briefly returned to the corporate world. However, determined to have more freedom, Stacey became certified as a productivity and business coach. Consequently, her second business venture was born. Yet this time, she was determined not to make the same mistakes she made with her first business.

Instead, Stacey decided to develop a strategy to generate a continuous stream of new clients. Furthermore, once she figured out how to get referrals without asking for them, everything changed. Prompted by one of her clients who found her referral strategy more intriguing than the productivity strategy she was teaching, Stacey eventually shifted the focus of her business.

In this episode, we talk in-depth about how Stacey always keeps an eye on scalability. For example, she describes how she transitioned from one-on-one training to 30 to 50-person workshops. Then, in 2015, Stacey created two online educational programs that allowed her to expand her business globally. In addition, through her Roadmap to Grow Your Business podcast and award-winning book, Generating Business Referrals Without Asking, Stacey has made her strategy available to an even larger audience of relationship-driven business owners.
